Nursery 1 Programme

Orange Tree Preschool’s Nursery 1 programme is specially designed for 3-year-olds to explore, discover, and develop confidence in a safe, nurturing environment.

Nursery 1 (N1) Programme in Singapore

At 3 years old, children begin to show greater curiosity, independence, and awareness of their surroundings. It’s a stage where emotional bonding, social routines, and exploratory play become essential. At this age, they thrive with structure, but still need flexibility to learn through movement, storytelling, and play.

Our nursery 1 programme in Singapore supports this phase by providing just the right balance of structure and creativity. At Orange Tree Preschool, our educators guide children through hands-on activities and language-rich experiences that build early confidence and communication. Children also begin engaging more with their peers, learning to share, take turns, and express their thoughts.

N1 Curriculum

Our N1 level follows the Open Minds Play framework, an inquiry-based curriculum designed to ignite curiosity through language, music, and sensory experiences.

Children are immersed in English and Mandarin through daily exposure, simple songs, and age-appropriate stories. This sets the foundation for future bilingual development.

Tactile play experiences (e.g. sand, water, textures) support fine motor development and stimulate cognitive growth.

Daily rhythm and movement activities help strengthen coordination, body awareness, and emotional expression in a fun, energetic way.

Children express themselves creatively through drawing, colouring, and simple crafts, developing focus and control in the process.
